Real Talk tho: Dustin Brown is a shitty hockey player right?

Julian:
Funniest thing was Dustin Brown played 2 mins in the 3rd period
I just don’t see how you can respect your captain when he plays that little

Wes:
To me him and Jay McClement are basically equal.
I’d rather have McClement actually…takes faceoffs.
Dustin Brown = Dan Carcillo.
Dustin Brown = Chris Neil.
What does he offer that’s different.
Just doesn’t fight is the only difference.

Julian:
David Clarkson or Dustin Brown?

Wes:
No contract? Clarkson easy
Contract? Probably Brown
Clarkson makes way too much…actually Brown I dunno what he makes. But I don’t think its that much. Cant be.

Julian:
OH my goodness you will never believe his contract
3 mill this year, but next year jumps to 6 mill
He is signed for just under 6 mill through 2021!!!!!

Wes:
WHAT!?!? That’s actually insane. That is legit robbery.
Hockey wise, please explain to me what he does different then Chris Neil. Neil makes 2 mill max.
Julian:
That’s actually hilarious
Him, Carter, and Richards all signed extensions the same time
But Brown makes the most per year LOL

Wes:
That is INSANE to me
There is no reason at all Brown should be making any more then 3 a year.
Every comparable player I think of makes 1-2 mill per year lol
Good for him I guess

Julian:
JVR makes just over 4 mill
Browns scratching 6 mill
And he doesn’t play so you have to remove his captaincy
And you can’t remove his captaincy really unless you trade him
And you can’t trade him with that contract lol

Yea like they are literally stuck with him forever. He would HAVE to restructure down the road
McClement, Neil, Helm, Cooke, Kulemin, Gregory Campbell, Mats Zuccarello, Brian Boyle, Carcillo,

Julian:

It’s true tho. He has more points then Dustin Brown lol

Troy Bodie or Dustin Brown?

Wes:
It’s funny how hard I’m actually finding this to answer. The knowledge Dustin Brown is paid 6 mill makes me wanna say Bodie.

Julian:
I’ll take Bodie at 600K

Wes:
That’s what I’ve been saying. Like is the difference btwn Bodie and Brown worth 5mill?
Is it worth 2mill? Or even 1mill?

Julian:
For me to ever take Brown in that he’d probably have to be making well under 3mill

Wes:
Yea that’s exactly what I think his ceiling should be. Like 3 if he has a gods gift to agents on his side.
Do you think negotiations ever even got as low as 3? Like even on a low-ball?

Julian:
Oh I doubt it

Performance of a lifetime from Reimer in LA

Wes:
Reimer is so horrible and then pulls the wool over fans eyes with this kinda stuff

Julian:
He got kneed in the head by Stoll too
Apparently Colton Orr is the 3rd string

Wes:
LOL that’s jokes
Fraser McLaren would be good. Can’t get any dumber.

Julian:
I’d actually be so interested to see that.
Would every shot go in? Or just sorta the tough ones

Wes:
Yea I wonder how bad they would be.
AHL? ECHL? NCAA? CIS? Highschool?

Julian:
I’m thinking Highschool.
Like in what scenario would any of those guys play goalie for any extended period of time?

Wes:
Because they are atheletes wouldn’t they have the stamina, reaction, and speed to at least get in the way
Like I’m thinking CIS/Junior C

Julian:
The techniques tho, they’d be so bad at the butterfly.
Think about how bad Reimer’s technique and butterly is and he has been working on that his whole life

Wes:
Your probably right. Like they could probably stop north/south shots, but any passing they would be *bleep*

Julian:
Realistically at best they’d be like half as good as Reimer
So every shot goes in just not every other shot

Wes:
I love your continued hate even after last night

Julian:
Take Reimer against the Sharks.
And then worse.
That’s what Colton Orr would be.

Wes:
Your Right. Keep on the Reimer hate brother. God’s work.
